On 19th August 1371 [his father] Louis Bourbon II Duke Bourbon [aged 34] and [his mother] Anne Auvergne Duchess Bourbon [aged 13] were married. She by marriage Duchess Bourbon. The difference in their ages was 20 years. He the son of [his grandfather] Peter Bourbon Duke Bourbon and [his grandmother] Isabella Valois Duchess Bourbon [aged 58].

In 1381 John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon was born to Louis Bourbon II Duke Bourbon [aged 43] and Anne Auvergne Duchess Bourbon [aged 23]. He a great x 4 grandson of King Henry III of England.

On 29th May 1386 Louis Chatillon and [his future wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 11] were married. She the daughter of [his future father-in-law] John Valois 1st Duke Berry [aged 45] and Joanne Armagnac Duchess Berry [aged 39]. He the son of Guy Chatillon II Count Blois and Marie Dampierre Countess Blois. They were third cousins. He a great x 4 grandson of King Henry III of England.

On 27th January 1393 Philip Artois Count of Eu [aged 36] and [his future wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Countess Eu. She the daughter of [his future father-in-law] John Valois 1st Duke Berry [aged 52] and Joanne Armagnac Duchess Berry. He the son of John "Sans Terre" Artois 1st Count of Eu and Isabeau Melun Countess Eu. They were second cousin once removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry III of England.

In 1400 John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 19] and Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 25] were married at Paris [Map]. She by marriage Duchess Bourbon. She the daughter of John Valois 1st Duke Berry [aged 59] and Joanne Armagnac Duchess Berry. He the son of Louis Bourbon II Duke Bourbon [aged 62] and Anne Auvergne Duchess Bourbon [aged 42]. They were half second cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Henry III of England.

In 1401 [his son] Charles Bourbon I Duke Bourbon was born to John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 20] and [his wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 26]. He married his second cousin Agnes Valois Duchess Bourbon, daughter of John "Fearless" Valois Duke Burgundy and Margaret Wittelsbach Duchess Burgundy, and had issue.

In 1403 [his son] Louis Bourbon was born to John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 22] and [his wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 28]. He died aged nine in 1412.

In 1405 [his son] Louis Bourbon was born to John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 24] and [his wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 30]. He married 1. 1428 his first cousin once removed Jeanne Auvergne 2. 5th February 1442 Gabrielle La Tour and had issue.

On 10th August 1410 [his father] Louis Bourbon II Duke Bourbon [aged 73] died. His son John [aged 29] succeeded I Duke Bourbon.

In 1412 [his son] Louis Bourbon [aged 9] died.

She the daughter of Philip Artois Count of Eu and [his wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 38]. He the son of Philip "Bold" Valois II Duke Burgundy and Margaret Dampierre Duchess Burgundy. They were first cousin once removed. He a great x 3 grandson of King Edward I of England. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Henry III of England.

1415. After the Battle of Agincourt at which John Duke of Bourbon [aged 34] was captured Melbourne Castle [Map] served as his prison for nineteen years.

25th October 1415. At the Battle of Agincourt the French army suffered significant casualties.

Charles Valois Duke Orléans [aged 20] was captured by Richard Waller [aged 20] for which he was knighted on the battlefield by King Henry V of England [aged 29]. John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 34], Jean II Le Maingre 'Boucicaut' [aged 49], Georges de La Trémoille [aged 33] and [his step-son] Charles Artois Count of Eu [aged 21] were captured.

Charles Albret [aged 46], Philip Valois II Count Nevers [aged 26], John of Bar [aged 35], Jacques Chatillon [aged 48], David Rambures [aged 51] and his three sons: Jean Rambures, Hugues Rambures, Philippe Rambures were killed.

Hector de Chartres was killed.

Robert of Bar Count Soissons Count Marle [aged 25] was killed. His daughter Jeanne succeeded Countess Soissons.

Edward of Bar III Duke of Bar [aged 38] was killed. His brother Louis [aged 38] succeeded I Duke Bar.

John Valois I Duke Alençon was killed. His son John [aged 6] succeeded II Duke Alençon.

Frederick Metz I Count Vaudémont [aged 47] was killed. His son Antoine [aged 15] succeeded Count Vaudémont.

Anthony Valois Duke Brabant [aged 31] was killed. His son John [aged 12] succeeded IV Duke Brabant. Jacqueline Wittelsbach Duchess Brabant and Gloucester [aged 14] by marriage Duchess Brabant.

And whanne this was done the kyng bode alle nyghte in a vyllage faste be-syde ther that the batelle was done. On 15th June 1416 [his father-in-law] John Valois 1st Duke Berry [aged 75] died. Duke Berry extinct. His daughter [his wife] Marie [aged 41] succeeded I Duchess Auvergne.

Ande the same year, on Syn Petrys eve and Poule, the Erle of Huntyngdon [aged 22] whythe o[th]yr certayne lordys faughtyn whithe carykys of Gene, and dyscomfyte hem, and toke iiij of [th]e grettyste of them and her patronys. And the amerelle [admiral] of them was the Duke of Burbone [aged 36], and he was take whithe them whythe alle the tresoure that sholde have wagyd them for halfe a year.

On 22nd September 1417 [his mother] Anne Auvergne Duchess Bourbon [aged 59] died.

Around 1420 [his step-daughter] Catherine Artois [aged 23] died.

On 30th November 1424 Philip "Good" Valois III Duke Burgundy [aged 28] and [his step-daughter] Bonne Artois Duchess Burgundy [aged 28] were married. She by marriage Duchess Burgundy. She the daughter of Philip Artois Count of Eu and [his wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 49]. He the son of John "Fearless" Valois Duke Burgundy and Margaret Wittelsbach Duchess Burgundy. They were second cousins. He a great x 4 grandson of King Edward I of England. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Henry III of England.

On 17th September 1425 [his step-daughter] Bonne Artois Duchess Burgundy [aged 29] died.

In 1434 John Bourbon I Duke Bourbon [aged 53] died. His son Charles [aged 33] succeeded I Duke Bourbon.

In June 1434 [his former wife] Marie Valois I Duchess Auverge [aged 59] died.
