On 28th May 1262 King Philip III of France [aged 17] and Isabella Barcelona Queen Consort France [aged 14] were married. She the daughter of James I King Aragon [aged 54] and Violant Árpád Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of King Louis IX of France [aged 48] and Margaret Provence Queen Consort France [aged 41]. They were second cousin once removed. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.
In 1268 [her brother-in-law] Robert Bourbon 1st Count Clermont [aged 12] was created 1st Count Clermont.
In June 1268 [her son] King Philip IV of France was born to [her husband] King Philip III of France [aged 23] and Isabella Barcelona Queen Consort France [aged 20]. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. He married 16th August 1284 his second cousin Joan Blois I Queen Navarre, daughter of Henry I King Navarre and Blanche Capet Queen Navarre, and had issue.
In 1269 [her brother-in-law] Peter Capet Count Alençon [aged 18] was created Count Alençon.
On 12th March 1270 [her son] Charles Valois I Count Valois was born to [her husband] King Philip III of France [aged 24] and Isabella Barcelona Queen Consort France [aged 22]. He a great x 3 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. He married (1) 16th August 1290 his second cousin Margaret Capet Countess Valois and had issue (2) 1302 his third cousin once removed Catherine Courtenay Countess Valois and had issue (3) 1308 his second cousin once removed Mahaut Chatillon Countess Valois, daughter of Guy Chatillon IV Count Saint Pol and Marie Capet, and had issue.
On 3rd August 1270 [her brother-in-law] John Tristan Capet Count Valois [aged 20] died.
On 25th August 1270 [her father-in-law] King Louis IX of France [aged 56] died. His son [her husband] Philip [aged 25] succeeded III King France: Capet. Isabella Barcelona Queen Consort France [aged 22] by marriage Queen Consort France.
On 28th January 1271 Isabella Barcelona Queen Consort France [aged 23] died.
On 21st August 1274 [her former husband] King Philip III of France [aged 29] and Maria of Brabant Queen Consort France [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort of France. She the daughter of Henry Reginar III Duke Brabant and Adelaide Burgundy Duchess Brabant. He the son of [her former father-in-law] King Louis IX of France and [her former mother-in-law] Margaret Provence Queen Consort France [aged 53]. They were fourth cousins. He a great x 2 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Stephen I England.
On 5th October 1285 [her former husband] King Philip III of France [aged 40] died of dysentery; see Annals of Dunstable. His son Philip [aged 17] succeeded IV King France: Capet. Joan Blois I Queen Navarre [aged 12] by marriage Queen Consort of France.

William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.
