On 24th July 1128 Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 18] was appointed Count Portugal.

On 11th November 1130 [his mother] Teresa Alfónsez Jiménez [aged 50] died.

On 26th July 1139 Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 30] was appointed I King Portugal.

In 1146 Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 36] and Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 21] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Portugal. She the daughter of Amadeus Savoy III Count Savoy [aged 51] and Mahaut Albon Countess Savoy. He the son of Henry Burgundy Count Portugal and Teresa Alfónsez Jiménez.

On 5th March 1147 [his son] Henry Burgundy was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 37] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 22]. He died aged seven in 1155.

In 1148 [his daughter] Urraca Burgundy Queen Consort Leon was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 38] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 23]. She married before 15th August 1171 her half second cousin Ferdinand II King Leon, son of Alfonso VII King Castile VII King Leon and Berenguela Barcelona Queen Consort Castile and Leon, and had issue.

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans

Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

She married (1) her fourth cousin Philip I Count of Flanders, son of Thierry Count Flanders and Sibylla Anjou Countess Essex (2) 1194 her half second cousin twice removed Odo III Duke Burgundy, son of Hugh III Duke Burgundy and Alice Metz Duchess Burgundy.

In 1153 [his daughter] Malfada Burgundy was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 43] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 28]. She died aged nine in 1162.

On 11th November 1154 [his son] Sancho "Populator" I King Portugal was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 45] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 29]. His nickname "Populator" not a consequence of the number of children he fathered, over sixty apparently, but his policy of populating remote areas in the northern Christian regions of Portugal. He married his fifth cousin Dulce Barcelona Queen Consort Portugal, daughter of Raymond V Count Barcelona, and had issue.

In 1155 [his son] Henry Burgundy [aged 7] died.

Around 1155 [his brother-in-law] Humbert Savoy III Count Savoy [aged 21] and Gertrude Metz Countess Savoy were married. Gertrude Metz Countess Savoy by marriage Countess Savoy. She the daughter of Thierry Count Flanders [aged 56] and Sibylla Anjou Countess Essex [aged 43]. He the son of [his father-in-law] Amadeus Savoy III Count Savoy and Mahaut Albon Countess Savoy. They were fifth cousin once removed.

In 1156 [his son] John Burgundy was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 46] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 31]. He died aged eight in 1164.

In 1157 [his daughter] Sancha Burgundy was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 47] and [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 32]. She died aged ten in 1167.

On 3rd December 1157 [his wife] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 32] died.

After 1162 [his daughter] Malfada Burgundy [deceased] died.

On 25th August 1164 [his son] John Burgundy [aged 8] died.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. She the daughter of Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 62] and Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal. He the son of Alfonso VII King Castile VII King Leon and Berenguela Barcelona Queen Consort Castile and Leon. They were half second cousins.

On 6th December 1185 Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 76] died. His succeeded son Sancho [aged 31] succeeded I King Portugal and reigned for twenty six years.
