He the son of Henry Burgundy Count Portugal and Teresa Alfónsez Jiménez.

In 1148 Urraca Burgundy Queen Consort Leon was born to Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 38] and Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal [aged 23].

On 21st August 1157 Alfonso VII King Castile VII King Leon [aged 52] died. His succeeded son Sancho [aged 23] succeeded III King Castile. His succeeded son [her future husband] Ferdinand [aged 20] succeeded II King Leon.

On 6th December 1185 [her father] Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal [aged 76] died. His succeeded son [her brother] Sancho [aged 31] succeeded I King Portugal and reigned for twenty six years.

On 22nd January 1188 [her husband] Ferdinand II King Leon [aged 51] died. His succeeded son Alfonso [aged 16] succeeded IX King Leon.

In 1191 Alfonso IX King Leon [aged 19] and Theresa of Portugal Queen Consort Leon [aged 15] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Leon. She the daughter of Sancho "Populator" I King Portugal [aged 36] and Dulce Barcelona Queen Consort Portugal. He the son of Ferdinand II King Leon and Urraca Burgundy Queen Consort Leon [aged 43]. They were first cousins.

In 1194 [her brother-in-law] Odo III Duke Burgundy [aged 28] and [her sister] Theresa Burgundy Duchess Burgundy [aged 43] were married. Theresa Burgundy Duchess Burgundy by marriage Duchess Burgundy. She the daughter of [her father] Afonso "Conqueror Founder Great" I King Portugal and [her mother] Malfada Savoy Queen Consort Portugal. She the daughter of Alfonso VIII King Castile [aged 41] and Eleanor Plantagenet Queen Consort Castile [aged 35]. He the son of Ferdinand II King Leon and Urraca Burgundy Queen Consort Leon [aged 49]. They were first cousin once removed. She a granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke

Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.
