He the son of Hugh "Great" Capet Count Paris and Hedwig Saxon Ottonian.

On 27th March 972 Robert "Pious" II King of the Franks was born to Hugh I King of the Franks [aged 31] and Adelaide Poitiers Queen Consort France [aged 27] at Orléans.

Around 983 Odo Blois I Count Blois [aged 33] and [his future wife] Bertha Welf Queen Consort France [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Countess Blois. She the daughter of Conrad I King Burgundy [aged 58] and Mathilde Carolingian Queen Consort Burgundy [aged 40].
