On 21st May 1730 [his father] Robert Grosvenor 6th Baronet [aged 35] and [his mother] Jane Warre Lady Grosvenor were married.

On 18th June 1731 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor was born to Robert Grosvenor 6th Baronet [aged 36] and Jane Warre Lady Grosvenor at Eaton Hall, Cheshire [Map].

In February 1733 [his uncle] Thomas Grosvenor 5th Baronet [aged 40] died in Naples [Map]. His brother [his father] Robert [aged 37] succeeded 6th Baronet Grosvenor of Eaton in Cheshire. [his mother] Jane Warre Lady Grosvenor by marriage Lady Grosvenor of Eaton in Cheshire.

In 1751 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 19] graduated Master of Arts: Oxford University at Oriel College, Oxford University.

In 1754 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 22] was elected MP Chester.

On 1st August 1755 [his father] Robert Grosvenor 6th Baronet [aged 60] died. His son Richard [aged 24] succeeded 7th Baronet Grosvenor of Eaton in Cheshire.

On 19th July 1764 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 33] and Henrietta Vernon Countess Grosvenor [aged 28] were married.

On 22nd March 1767 [his son] Robert Grosvenor 1st Marquess Westminster was born to Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 35] at Hanover Square. He married 28th April 1794 Eleanor Egerton Marchioness Westminster, daughter of Thomas Egerton 1st Earl Wilton and Eleanor Assheton Viscountess Wilton, and had issue.

In 1769 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 37] brought an action against Henry Frederick Hanover 1st Duke Cumberland and Strathearn [aged 23] for having criminal conversation with Richard's wife Henrietta Vernon Countess Grosvenor [aged 33] having been discovered in flagrante delicto and was awarded damages of £10,000 and £3000 costs.

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans

Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

In 1784 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 52] was created 1st Earl Grosvenor. [his wife] Henrietta Vernon Countess Grosvenor [aged 48] by marriage Countess Grosvenor.

On 28th April 1794 Robert Grosvenor 1st Marquess Westminster [aged 27] and Eleanor Egerton Marchioness Westminster [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of Thomas Egerton 1st Earl Wilton [aged 44] and Eleanor Assheton Viscountess Wilton [aged 41]. He the son of Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 62].

On 5th August 1802 Richard Grosvenor 1st Earl Grosvenor [aged 71] died at Earls Court, Kensington. He was buried at Grosvenor Vault, St Mary's Church, Eccleston. His son Robert [aged 35] succeeded 2nd Earl Grosvenor, 8th Baronet Grosvenor of Eaton in Cheshire. Eleanor Egerton Marchioness Westminster [aged 32] by marriage Countess Grosvenor.

On 2nd January 1828 [his former wife] Henrietta Vernon Countess Grosvenor [aged 92] died.
