In 1871 Heneage Finch 7th Earl Aylesford [aged 22] and Edith Williams Countess Aylesford [aged 27] were married. She by marriage Countess Aylesford. He the son of Heneage Finch 6th Earl Aylesford [aged 46].

On 10th January 1871 [his father] Heneage Finch 6th Earl Aylesford [aged 46] died. His son Heneage [aged 22] succeeded 7th Earl Aylesford.

Sometime before 1875 [his wife] Edith Williams Countess Aylesford [aged 31] began an affair with the Prince of Wales [aged 33] which her husband Heneage Finch 7th Earl Aylesford [aged 25] dutifully deliberately overlooked.

Around 1875 George Charles Spencer-Churchill 8th Duke of Marlborough [aged 30], then Marquess of Blandford, and [his wife] Edith Williams Countess Aylesford [aged 31] began an affair following the ending of her affair with the Prince of Wales [aged 33]. Her husband Heneage Finch 7th Earl Aylesford [aged 26] tolerated her affair with the Prince of Wales; he was unprepared to do so with the Duke. He sought a divorce. Letters from the Prince of Wales signed with his nickname "Bertie" to Edith emerged.

On 7th March 1882 Henry Wellesley 3rd Duke Wellington [aged 35] and [his sister-in-law] Evelyn Katrine Gwenfra Williams Duchess Wellington [aged 27] were married.

On 15th July 1884 Henry Richard Charles Wellesley 1st Earl Cowley [aged 80] died at 20 Albermarle Street. He was buried at Draycott, Wiltshire. His son William [aged 49] succeeded 2nd Earl Cowley, 2nd Viscount Dangan of Meath, 3rd Baron Cowley. [his sister-in-law] Emily Gwendoline Williams Countess Cowley [aged 45] by marriage Countess Cowley.

On 13th August 1884 Arthur Wellesley 2nd Duke Wellington [aged 77] died. His nephew Henry [aged 38] succeeded 3rd Duke Wellington, 7th Earl Mornington, 7th Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle, 3rd Viscount Wellington of Talavera. [his sister-in-law] Evelyn Katrine Gwenfra Williams Duchess Wellington [aged 29] by marriage Duchess Wellington.
