On 15th June 1667 [his father] Christian V King of Denmark and Norway [aged 21] and [his mother] Charlotte Amalie Hesse-Kassel Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] Wilhelm "The Just" VI Hesse-Kassel and [his grandmother] Hedwig Sophia Hohenzollern [aged 43]. He the son of Frederick III King of Denmark [aged 58] and Sophie Amalie Hanover Queen Consort Denmark [aged 39]. They were fourth cousins.

On 2nd October 1671 Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway was born to Christian V King of Denmark and Norway [aged 25] and Charlotte Amalie Hesse-Kassel Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 21].

John Evelyn's Diary. 12th September 1686. The King of Denmark [aged 14] was besieging Hamburg, no doubt by the French contrivance, to embroil the Protestant Princes in a new war, that Holland, etc., being engaged, matter for new quarrel might arise: the unheard-of persecution of the poor Protestants still raging more than ever.

John Evelyn's Diary. 22nd September 1686. The Danes retire from Hamburg, the Protestant Princes appearing for their succor, and the Emperor sending his minatories to the King of Denmark [aged 14], and also requiring the restoration of the Duke of Saxe Gotha. Thus it pleased God to defeat the French designs, which were evidently to kindle a new war.

On 5th December 1695 Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 24] and Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 28] were married. He the son of Christian V King of Denmark and Norway [aged 49] and Charlotte Amalie Hesse-Kassel Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 45]. They were third cousin once removed.

On 28th June 1697 [his son] Christian Oldenburg was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 25] and [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 29]. He died aged one in 1698.

On 1st October 1698 [his son] Christian Oldenburg [aged 1] died.

On 25th August 1699 [his father] Christian V King of Denmark and Norway [aged 53] died. His son Frederick [aged 27] succeeded IV King of Denmark and Norway. [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 31] by marriage Queen Consort Denmark and Norway.

On 10th December 1699 [his son] Christian VI King of Denmark and Norway was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 28] and [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 32].

Abbot John Whethamstede’s Chronicle of the Abbey of St Albans

Abbot John Whethamstede's Register aka Chronicle of his second term at the Abbey of St Albans, 1451-1461, is a remarkable text that describes his first-hand experience of the beginning of the Wars of the Roses including the First and Second Battles of St Albans, 1455 and 1461, respectively, their cause, and their consequences, not least on the Abbey itself. His text also includes Loveday, Blore Heath, Northampton, the Act of Accord, Wakefield, and Towton, and ends with the Coronation of King Edward IV. In addition to the events of the Wars of the Roses, Abbot John, or his scribes who wrote the Chronicle, include details in the life of the Abbey such as charters, letters, land exchanges, visits by legates, and disputes, which provide a rich insight into the day-to-day life of the Abbey, and the challenges faced by its Abbot.

On 6th January 1703 [his son] George Oldenburg was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 31] and [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 35]. He died aged one in 1704.

In 1704 [his son] Frederik Gyldenlove Oldenburg was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 32]. He died aged one in 1705.

On 12th March 1704 [his son] George Oldenburg [aged 1] died.

In 1705 [his son] Frederik Gyldenlove Oldenburg [aged 1] died.

On 6th October 1706 [his daughter] Charlotte Amalie Oldenburg was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 35] and [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 39].

On 15th March 1721 [his wife] Louise of Mecklenburg Güstrow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 53] died. The day after her funeral her husband Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 49] married Anne Sophie Reventlow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 27] whom he had previously married bigamously.

On 4th April 1721 Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 49] and Anne Sophie Reventlow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 27] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Denmark and Norway. The difference in their ages was 21 years. He the son of Christian V King of Denmark and Norway and Charlotte Amalie Hesse-Kassel Queen Consort Denmark and Norway.

Anne Boleyn. Her Life as told by Lancelot de Carle's 1536 Letter.

In 1536, two weeks after the execution of Anne Boleyn, her brother George and four others, Lancelot du Carle, wrote an extraordinary letter that described Anne's life, and her trial and execution, to which he was a witness. On 15th May 1727 [his son] Frederik Christian Oldenburg died.

On 16th February 1728 [his son] Charles Oldenburg was born to Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 56]. He died aged one in 1729.

On 10th December 1729 [his son] Charles Oldenburg [aged 1] died.

On 12th October 1730 Frederick IV King of Denmark and Norway [aged 59] died. His son Christian [aged 30] succeeded VI King of Denmark and Norway.

On 7th January 1743 [his former wife] Anne Sophie Reventlow Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 49] died.
