On 9th April 1672 Thomas Willoughby 1st Baron Middleton was born to Francis Willoughby [aged 36] and Emma Barnard [aged 26].
On 3rd July 1672 [his father] Francis Willoughby [aged 36] died.
On 8th August 1676 [his step-father] Josiah Child [aged 45] and [his mother] Emma Barnard [aged 30] were married.
Around 1686 Thomas Willoughby 1st Baron Middleton [aged 13] educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University.

In 1688 Francis Willoughby 1st Baronet [aged 20] died unmarried. His brother Thomas [aged 15] succeeded 2nd Baronet Willoughby of Wollaton.
On 9th April 1691 Thomas Willoughby 1st Baron Middleton [aged 19] and Elizabeth Rothwell Baroness Willoughby and Middleton were married. She by marriage Baroness Willoughby Broke.
On 4th October 1692 [his son] Francis Willoughby 2nd Baron Middleton was born to Thomas Willoughby 1st Baron Middleton [aged 20] and [his wife] Elizabeth Rothwell Baroness Willoughby and Middleton. He married 1723 Mary Edwards Baroness Middleton and had issue.
William of Worcester's Chronicle of England
William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

In 1719 [his brother-in-law] James Brydges 1st Duke Chandos [aged 45] was created 1st Duke Chandos, 1st Marquess Carnarvon. [his sister] Cassandra Willoughby Duchess Chandos [aged 48] by marriage Duchess Chandos.
In 1723 [his son] Francis Willoughby 2nd Baron Middleton [aged 30] and [his daughter-in-law] Mary Edwards Baroness Middleton were married.
On 16th October 1725 [his mother] Emma Barnard [aged 79] died.
In 1729 Thomas Willoughby 1st Baron Middleton [aged 56] died. His son Francis [aged 36] succeeded 2nd Baron Middleton, 3rd Baronet Willoughby of Wollaton. Mary Edwards Baroness Middleton by marriage Baroness Middleton.
Before February 1736 [his former wife] Elizabeth Rothwell Baroness Willoughby and Middleton died.
