Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile 1358-1382

On 23rd July 1338 [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 18] and Maria Évreux Queen Consort Aragon [aged 9] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of Philip "Noble" III King Navarre [aged 32] and Joan Capet II Queen Navarre [aged 26]. He the son of [her grandfather] Alfonso IV King Aragon and [her grandmother] Teresa Enteca Queen Consort Aragon. They were third cousin once removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Henry III of England.

On 15th November 1347 [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 28] and Eleanor Burgundy Queen Consort Aragon [aged 19] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of Alfonso "Brave" IV King Portugal [aged 56] and Beatrice Ivrea Queen Consort Portugal [aged 54]. He the son of [her grandfather] Alfonso IV King Aragon and [her grandmother] Teresa Enteca Queen Consort Aragon. They were second cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 27th August 1349 [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 29] and [her mother] Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon [aged 24] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of [her grandfather] Alfonso IV King Aragon and [her grandmother] Teresa Enteca Queen Consort Aragon. They were second cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 20th February 1358 Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile was born to Peter IV King Aragon [aged 38] and Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon [aged 33]. Coefficient of inbreeding 2.45%.

On 24th June 1373 [her brother] King John I of Aragon [aged 22] and [her sister-in-law] Martha Armagnac Queen Consort Aragon [aged 26] were married at Barcelona [Map]. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of John I Count Armagnac [deceased] and Beatrice Clermont Countess Armagnac. He the son of [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 53] and [her mother] Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon [aged 48]. They were fourth cousin once removed. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 20th April 1375 [her mother] Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon [aged 50] died.

On 11th October 1377 [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 58] and [her step-mother] Sibia Fortia Queen Consort Aragon were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of [her grandfather] Alfonso IV King Aragon and [her grandmother] Teresa Enteca Queen Consort Aragon.

On 29th May 1379 Henry "Fratricide" II King Castile [aged 45] died. His son [her future husband] John [aged 20] succeeded I King Castile.

Before 4th October 1379 John I King Castile [aged 21] and Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile [aged 21] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Castile. She the daughter of Peter IV King Aragon [aged 60] and Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon. He the son of Henry "Fratricide" II King Castile and Juana Manuel Queen of Castile [aged 40]. They were third cousin once removed. He a great x 5 grandson of King Henry "Curtmantle" II of England.

On 4th October 1379 [her son] Henry III King Castile was born to [her husband] John I King Castile [aged 21] and Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile [aged 21] at Burgos [Map]. He married before 17th September 1388 his half second cousin Catherine of Lancaster Queen Consort Castile, daughter of John of Gaunt 1st Duke Lancaster and Constance of Castile Duchess of Lancaster, and had issue.

On 2nd February 1380 [her brother] King John I of Aragon [aged 29] and [her sister-in-law] Yolande of Bar Queen Consort Aragon [aged 15] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Aragon. She the daughter of Robert of Bar 1st Duke of Bar [aged 35] and Marie Valois Duchess Bar [aged 35]. He the son of [her father] Peter IV King Aragon [aged 60] and [her mother] Eleanor of Sicily Queen Consort Aragon. They were third cousin once removed. She a great x 3 granddaughter of King Edward I of England.

On 27th November 1380 [her son] Ferdinand I King Aragon was born to [her husband] John I King Castile [aged 22] and Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile [aged 22]. He married 1394 his first cousin once removed Eleanor of Alberquerque Queen Consort Aragon, daughter of Sancho Alfonso Ivrea and Beatrice Burgundy, and had issue.

On 13th September 1382 Eleanor Barcelona Queen Consort Castile [aged 24] died.

On 9th October 1390 [her former husband] John I King Castile [aged 32] died in a riding accident when he fell from his horse while riding in a fantasia, a traditional display of horsemanship with light horsemen known as farfanes mounted and equipped in the Arab style.. His son Henry [aged 11] succeeded III King Castile.
