Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot -1804

Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot was born to Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire and Margaretta Fitzgerald in Hanover Square.

In 1747 [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 28] and [her mother] Margaretta Fitzgerald were married. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Robert Fitzgerald 19th Earl of Kildare and [her grandmother] Mary O'Brien Countess Kildare.

In 1766 [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 47] and Mary Stawell 1st Baroness Stawell [aged 40] were married.

On 19th January 1766 [her mother] Margaretta Fitzgerald died.

On 2nd December 1773 James Cecil 1st Marquess Salisbury [aged 25] and [her sister] Mary Amelia Hill Marchioness Salisbury [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 55] and [her mother] Margaretta Fitzgerald. He the son of James Cecil 6th Earl of Salisbury [aged 60] and Elizabeth Keet Countess of Salisbury [aged 52]. They were fifth cousin once removed.

In 1776 John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 26] and Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot were married. She the daughter of Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 57] and Margaretta Fitzgerald.

On 25th April 1777 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 2nd Earl Talbot was born to John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 28] and Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot. He married 1800 Frances Thomasina Lambart Countess Talbot and had issue.

On 4th April 1779 [her son] John Chetwynd-Talbot was born to John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 30] and Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot.

On 19th September 1780 James Cecil 6th Earl of Salisbury [aged 66] died. His son James [aged 32] succeeded 7th Earl Salisbury. [her sister] Mary Amelia Hill Marchioness Salisbury [aged 30] by marriage Countess Salisbury. Mary Grave of Baldock received over £50,000 in his Will, besides jewellery, silver and furniture. In addition, the Earl bequeathed £43,000 to his seven children by her.

On 27th April 1782 William Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 71] died at Lincoln's Inn. Earl Talbot extinct. His daughter Cecil [aged 46] succeeded 2nd Baroness Dynevor of Dynevor in Camarthenshire. His nephew John [aged 33] succeeded 3rd Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.

In 1784 John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 34] was created 1st Earl Talbot, 1st Viscount Ingestre. Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot by marriage Countess Talbot.

On 20th January 1785 [her mother-in-law] Catherine Chetwynd [aged 62] died. John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 35] inherited Ingestre Hall, Staffordshire.

On 29th June 1786 [her brother] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire [aged 33] and [her sister-in-law] Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire [aged 22] were married. He the son of [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 68] and [her mother] Margaretta Fitzgerald.

In 1789 [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 70] was created 1st Marquess Downshire.

On 19th May 1793 John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot [aged 44] died at Fairford, Gloucestershire [Map]. His son Charles [aged 16] succeeded 2nd Earl Talbot, 2nd Viscount Ingestre, 4th Baron Talbot of Hensol in Glamorganshire.

On 7th October 1793 [her father] Wills Hill 1st Marquess Downshire [aged 75] died. His son Arthur [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Marquess Downshire. [her sister-in-law] Mary Sandys Marchioness Downshire [aged 29] by marriage Marchioness Downshire.

In 1800 Charles Chetwynd-Talbot 2nd Earl Talbot [aged 22] and Frances Thomasina Lambart Countess Talbot [aged 28] were married. She by marriage Countess Talbot. He the son of John Chetwynd-Talbot 1st Earl Talbot and Charlotte Augusta Hill Countess Talbot.

On 7th September 1801 [her brother] Arthur Hill 2nd Marquess Downshire [aged 48] committed suicide suspected to be as a consequence of his political life. His son Arthur [aged 12] succeeded 3rd Marquess Downshire.
