Around 1522 [his son] Robert Constable was born to Robert Constable [aged 28] and [his wife] Katherine Manners [aged 12]. He married in or before 1562 Christiana Dabridgecourt and had issue.

Before 1523 [his brother-in-law] Thomas Manners 1st Earl of Rutland [aged 30] and Eleanor Paston Countess Rutland [aged 27] were married. She by marriage Baroness Ros Helmsley.

Before 25th May 1524 John Bourchier 2nd Earl Bath [aged 25] and [his sister-in-law] Eleanor Manners Countess Bath [aged 21] were married at Hengrave Hall, Bury St Edmunds. He the son of John Bourchier 1st Earl Bath [aged 53] and Cecily Daubeney Baroness Fitzwarin [aged 50]. They were fourth cousin once removed. He a great x 4 grandson of King Edward III of England. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

Around 1530 [his daughter] Barbara Constable was born to Robert Constable [aged 36] and [his wife] Katherine Manners [aged 20]. She married 1540 William Babthorpe and had issue.

Around 1535 [his daughter] Everhilda Constable was born to Robert Constable [aged 41] and [his wife] Katherine Manners [aged 25]. She married Thomas Crawthorne.

On 30th April 1539 John Bourchier 1st Earl Bath [aged 68] died. He was buried at St Brannock's Church, Braunton. His son John [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Earl Bath, 4th Count Eu, 12th Baron Fitzwarin. [his sister-in-law] Eleanor Manners Countess Bath [aged 36] by marriage Countess Bath.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

Around 1540 [his son-in-law] William Babthorpe [aged 11] and [his daughter] Barbara Constable [aged 10] were married.

On 4th October 1540 [his mother] Barbara Sothill [aged 66] died. She was buried at Church of St Everild Everingham.

On 20th September 1543 [his brother-in-law] Thomas Manners 1st Earl of Rutland [aged 51] died. He was buried in the Chancel of St Mary the Virgin Church, Bottesford, Leicestershire [Map]. His son Henry [aged 16] succeeded 2nd Earl of Rutland, 13th Baron Ros Helmsley. Margaret Neville Countess Rutland by marriage Countess of Rutland.

In 1544 Robert Constable [aged 50] was knighted by Edward Seymour 1st Duke of Somerset [aged 44] at Butterdean, Coldingham.

In 1545 Robert Constable [aged 51] was captured by the Scots.

On 14th September 1545 [his father] Marmaduke Constable [aged 65] died. He was buried at Church of St Everild Everingham.

In 1547 [his wife] Katherine Manners [aged 37] died.

Before 1548 [his son] Marmaduke Constable and [his daughter-in-law] Jane Conyers were married. They were fourth cousins. He a great x 5 grandson of King Edward III of England. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

In 1557 Robert Constable [aged 63] was appointed High Sheriff of Yorkshire.

On 12th October 1558 Robert Constable [aged 64] died.
