554th Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 20]. Probably as a consequence of his having married the daughter of King George II.

On 25th December 1741 [his son] William Hesse-Kassel was born to Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 21] and [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 18]. He a grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. He died aged less than one years old.

On 1st July 1742 [his son] William Hesse-Kassel died.

On 3rd June 1743 [his son] William Elector of Hesse was born to Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 22] and [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 20]. He a grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. He married 1st September 1764 his first cousin Electress Wilhelmina Caroline Oldenburg, daughter of Frederick V King of Denmark and Norway and Louise Hanover Queen Consort Denmark and Norway, and had issue.

On 11th December 1743 Frederick V King of Denmark and Norway [aged 20] and [his sister-in-law] Louise Hanover Queen Consort Denmark and Norway [aged 18] were married. She by marriage Queen Consort Denmark and Norway. She the daughter of [his father-in-law] King George II of Great Britain and Ireland [aged 60] and Caroline Hohenzollern Queen Consort England. He the son of Christian VI King of Denmark and Norway [aged 44]. They were third cousin once removed.

On 19th December 1744 [his son] Charles Hesse-Kassel was born to Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 24] and [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 21] at Kassel. He a grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. He married 30th August 1766 his first cousin Louise Oldenburg, daughter of Frederick V King of Denmark and Norway and Louise Hanover Queen Consort Denmark and Norway, and had issue.

On 11th May 1745 the allied army commanded by [his brother-in-law] William Augustus Hanover 1st Duke Cumberland [aged 24] was defeated by a French army at the Battle of Fontenoy.

George Cholmondeley [aged 20], George Keppel 3rd Earl Albermarle [aged 21], Joseph Yorke 1st Baron Dover [aged 20] and John Waldegrave 3rd Earl Waldegrave [aged 27] fought.

Henry Ponsonby [aged 60], James Dillon and Robert Douglas were killed.

George Sackville aka Germain 1st Viscount Sackville [aged 29] led the charge of the Duke of Cumberland's infantry leading his regiment so deep into the French lines that when he was wounded and captured he was taken to the tent of Louis XV.

Louis 6th Duke of Gramont [aged 55] was killed. His son Antoine [aged 23] succeeded 7th Duke Gramont.

On 16th April 1746 an English army commanded by [his brother-in-law] William Augustus Hanover 1st Duke Cumberland [aged 24] and John Mordaunt [aged 37] defeated the Scottish army of Charles Edward "Bonnie Prince Charlie" Stewart [aged 25] at the Battle of Culloden bring to an end the Jacobite Rising of 1745.

Bluett Wallop [aged 19] fought.

Robert Kerr was killed.

William Boyd 4th Earl Kilmarnock [aged 40] was captured.

Alexander Bannerman 3rd Baronet fought and escapted to France where he died a year later.

On 11th September 1747 [his son] Frederick Hesse-Kassel was born to Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 27] and [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 24]. He a grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.

On 31st March 1751 [his brother-in-law] Frederick Louis Hanover Prince of Wales [aged 44] died at Leicester House.

On 1st February 1760 [his father] William Hesse-Kassel [aged 77] died. His son Frederick [aged 39] succeeded II Landgrave Hesse Kassel. [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 36] by marriage Landgravine Hesse Kassel.

On 31st October 1765 [his brother-in-law] William Augustus Hanover 1st Duke Cumberland [aged 44] died unmarried. Duke Cumberland extinct. He was buried at King Henry VII Chapel, Westminster Abbey [Map].

On 30th August 1766 Charles Hesse-Kassel [aged 21] and Louise Oldenburg [aged 16] were married at Christiansborg Castle. She the daughter of Frederick V King of Denmark and Norway and Louise Hanover Queen Consort Denmark and Norway. He the son of Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 46] and Mary Hanover [aged 43]. They were first cousins. He a grandson of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland. She a granddaughter of King George II of Great Britain and Ireland.

On 14th January 1772 [his wife] Mary Hanover [aged 48] died.

On 10th January 1773 Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 52] and Princess Philippine Hohenzollern [aged 27] were married. No issue. The difference in their ages was 25 years. He the son of William Hesse-Kassel. They were third cousins. She a great x 4 granddaughter of King James I of England and Ireland and VI of Scotland.

On 31st October 1785 Frederick Hesse-Kassel [aged 65] died. His son William [aged 42] succeeded IX Landgrave Hesse Kassel. Electress Wilhelmina Caroline Oldenburg [aged 38] by marriage Landgravine Hesse Kassel.

On 1st May 1800 [his former wife] Princess Philippine Hohenzollern [aged 54] died.
