On 30th June 1747 George Finch-Hatton was born to Edward Finch-Hatton [aged 50] and Elizabeth Palmer [aged 37].
On 16th May 1771 [his father] Edward Finch-Hatton [aged 74] died.
In 1772 George Finch-Hatton [aged 24] was elected MP Rochester.
In 1774 George Finch-Hatton [aged 26] was elected MP Rochester.
In 1776 George Finch-Hatton [aged 28] was elected Fellow of the Royal Society.
In 1780 George Finch-Hatton [aged 32] was elected MP Rochester.
On 10th December 1785 George Finch-Hatton [aged 38] and Elizabeth Murray [aged 25] were married. She the daughter of David Murray 2nd Earl Mansfield [aged 58] and Henrietta Frederica von Bünau.
In 1791 [his mother] Elizabeth Palmer [aged 81] died.
On 19th May 1791 [his son] George Finch-Hatton 5th Earl Nottingham 10th Earl Winchilsea was born to George Finch-Hatton [aged 43] and [his wife] Elizabeth Murray [aged 31] at Kirby Hall, Gretton. He married (1) 26th July 1814 his sixth cousin Georgiana Charlotte Graham Countess Nottingham Winchelsea, daughter of James Graham 3rd Duke Montrose and Caroline Maria Montagu Duchess Montrose, and had issue (2) 15th February 1837 his third cousin twice removed Emily Georgiana Bagot Countess Winchilsea Nottingham (3) 17th October 1849 Fanny Margaretta Rice Countess Nottingham Winchilsea and had issue.
In 1795 [his son] Reverend Daniel Heneage Finch-Hatton was born to George Finch-Hatton [aged 47] and [his wife] Elizabeth Murray [aged 34]. He married 15th December 1825 Louisa Greville, daughter of Robert Fulke Greville and Louisa Cathcart 2nd Countess Mansfield, and had issue.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 16th September 1797 [his brother-in-law] David William Murray 3rd Earl of Mansfield [aged 20] and Frederica Markham Countess Mansfield [aged 23] were married. Frederica Markham Countess Mansfield by marriage Countess Mansfield in Middlesex. She the daughter of Archbishop William Markham [aged 78]. He the son of [his father-in-law] David Murray 2nd Earl Mansfield and Louisa Cathcart 2nd Countess Mansfield [aged 39].
On 26th July 1814 [his son] George Finch-Hatton 5th Earl Nottingham 10th Earl Winchilsea [aged 23] and [his daughter-in-law] Georgiana Charlotte Graham Countess Nottingham Winchelsea [aged 20] were married. She the daughter of James Graham 3rd Duke Montrose [aged 58] and Caroline Maria Montagu Duchess Montrose. They were sixth cousins.
On 17th February 1823 George Finch-Hatton [aged 75] died.
On 1st June 1825 [his former wife] Elizabeth Murray [aged 65] died.
