On 24th October 1550 [her brother] Louis Valois Duke Orléans [aged 1] died.
On 24th April 1558 [her brother] Dauphin of France [aged 14] and [her sister-in-law] Mary Queen of Scots [aged 15] were married at Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral [Map]. On 5th December 1560 Francis II King France King Consort Scotland [aged 16] died, possibly from an ear abscess, in the Hotel Groslot, Orléans. On 23rd December 1560 he was buried at the Basilica of St Denis [Map]. He married (1) 31st January 1599 his second cousin once removed Catherine Bourbon, daughter of Antoine King Navarre and Jeanne Albret III Queen Navarre (2) 24th April 1606 his third cousin Margherita Gonzaga Duchess Lorraine, daughter of Vincenzo Gonzaga III Duke Mantua and Eleanor de Medici Duchess Mantua, and had issue.
