He by marriage Earl Sutherland. She the daughter of William Sutherland 18th Earl Sutherland. He the son of Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Marquess Stafford [aged 64] and Louisa Egerton Countess Gower.
On 11th August 1786 [her son] George Sutherland Leveson-Gower 2nd Duke Sutherland was born to [her husband] George Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Duke Sutherland [aged 28] and Elizabeth Sutherland Duchess Sutherland 19th Countess Sutherland [aged 21] at Portland Place, Marylebone. He married 28th May 1823 his first cousin once removed Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard Duchess Sutherland, daughter of George Howard 6th Earl Carlisle and Georgiana Cavendish Countess Carlisle, and had issue.
Around 1788 [her daughter] Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower Duchess Norfolk was born to [her husband] George Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Duke Sutherland [aged 29] and Elizabeth Sutherland Duchess Sutherland 19th Countess Sutherland [aged 22]. She married before 1815 Henry Charles Howard 13th Duke of Norfolk, son of Bernard Howard 12th Duke of Norfolk and Elizabeth Belasyse Duchess Norfolk, and had issue.
On 16th May 1791 Henry Charles Somerset 6th Duke Beaufort [aged 24] and [her sister-in-law] Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower Duchess Beaufort [aged 20] were married at St Mary at Lambeth Church, Surrey [Map]. She the daughter of [her father-in-law] Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Marquess Stafford [aged 69] and Susanna Stewart Marchioness Stafford. He the son of Henry Somerset 5th Duke Beaufort [aged 46] and Elizabeth Boscawen Duchess Beaufort [aged 43]. They were half fourth cousin once removed.

He married 18th June 1822 his fourth cousin once removed Harriet Greville Countess Ellesmere and had issue.
On 20th June 1803 Nathaniel Ryder 1st Baron Harrowby [aged 67] died. His son Dudley [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Baron Harrowby of Harrowby in Lincolnshire. [her sister-in-law] Susanna Leveson-Gower Countess Harrowby Lincolnshire [aged 30] by marriage Baroness Harrowby of Harrowby in Lincolnshire.
On 11th October 1803 Henry Somerset 5th Duke Beaufort [aged 58] died. He was buried at St Michael and all Angels Church, Badminton. His son Henry [aged 36] succeeded 6th Duke Beaufort, 8th Marquess Worcester, 12th Earl Worcester, 14th Baron Herbert of Raglan, 6th Baron Botetort. His son [her husband] George [aged 45] succeeded 2nd Marquess Stafford, 3rd Earl Gower, 4th Baron Gower, 8th Baronet Gower of Stittenham in Yorkshire. Elizabeth Sutherland Duchess Sutherland 19th Countess Sutherland [aged 38] by marriage Marchioness Stafford.

Dearest Hartington, — You must think me a brute for having been so long without writing to you, but I have been for some time the idlest of human beings. We keep terrible late hours, and I do nothing from morning till night but think what an angel my husband is, which is more pleasant than profitable. Your absence furnishes me with conversation wherever I go. I really cannot explain your leaving London just now, your thinking Bath the best place for mathematics or Doctor Randolph's attractions. Poor worn-out Lady Warwick rien peut plus with it, but with a tremulous voice, like cowards just before they dip into the sea, follows me about — 'Where is he gone, my dear Lady Harriet, what can he be gone about?' There are shoals of Miss Mildmays, and the good-natured Dowager quite like a hen. Sir Henry and his wife go about in attitudes, but they match so well and look so handsome that one forgives them for it.
You will have seen in the papers all that has been going on about Sir Francis Burdett [aged 40]. London is quiet and dull again. The mob entirely dispersed and nothing but soldiers to be seen. These riots have been very animating to different people in different ways. Lord Carlisle [aged 61]1 - got well pelted with mud and dirt. Think of the nose of nice nobility. Little 02. was obliged to explain his politics to the mob, who were going to swallow him, I believe. He is so factious that if he was not so small and inarticulate he might some day or other get into mischief. As it is he is never heard and scarcely seen. So passe, passe, petit bonhomme, very harmless and very ridiculous.
We all go to Court the day after to-morrow. Lady Stafford [aged 44]3 presents me, Lady Liverpool [aged 43] the Duchess [aged 52]4.
Note 1. He married [her sister-in-law] Lady Caroline Leveson Gower, a daughter of the first [her father-in-law] Marquis of Stafford and half-sister to [her brother-in-law] Lord Granville [aged 36]. He was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from 1780 to 1782. He wrote indifferent poetry, and was sneered at in English Bards amd Scotch Beviewers by his relative and ward, Lord Byron [aged 22].
Note 2. Lord Ossulston [aged 33], who succeeded his father, Lord Tankerville [aged 66], in 1822,. He married in 1806 Mlle. Corisande de Gramont [aged 27], of whom there is frequent mention in these letters.
Note 3. Countess of Sutherland, married in 1785 to the second Marquis of Stafford [aged 52], half-brother to Lord Granville. He was Ambassador in Paris from 1790 to 1792. She did what she could for Marie Antoinette when in prison.

On 12th August 1815 [her brother-in-law] Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Earl Granville [aged 41] was created 1st Viscount Granville. Harriet Cavendish Countess Granville [aged 29] by marriage Viscountess Granville.
Before October 1820 [her son-in-law] Richard Grosvenor 2nd Marquess Westminster [aged 25] and Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower Marchioness Westminster [aged 23] were married. She the daughter of George Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Duke Sutherland [aged 62] and Elizabeth Sutherland Duchess Sutherland 19th Countess Sutherland [aged 55]. He the son of Robert Grosvenor 1st Marquess Westminster [aged 53] and Eleanor Egerton Marchioness Westminster [aged 50].
Jean de Waurin's Chronicle of England Volume 6 Books 3-6: The Wars of the Roses
Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

He the son of George Granville Leveson-Gower 1st Duke Sutherland [aged 65] and Elizabeth Sutherland Duchess Sutherland 19th Countess Sutherland [aged 58]. They were first cousin once removed.
On 27th January 1824 [her sister-in-law] Margaret Caroline Leveson-Gower Countess Carlisle died.
