On 5th February 1753 [his brother-in-law] George Neville 1st Earl Abergavenny [aged 25] and [his sister] Henrietta Pelham Baroness Bergavenny [aged 22] were married. She by marriage Baroness Abergavenny.

On 15th June 1754 Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 26] and Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 19] were married at Mortlake, Richmond.

On 28th April 1756 [his son] Thomas Pelham 2nd Earl Chichester was born to Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 28] and [his wife] Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 21]. He married 1801 Mary Henrietta Juliana Osborne Countess Chichester, daughter of Francis Osborne 5th Duke Leeds and Amelia Darcy 12th Baroness Darcy 9th Baroness Conyers, and had issue.

On 4th May 1762 King George III of Great Britain and Ireland [aged 23] created a number of new peerages...

Caroline Lennox 1st Baroness Holland [aged 39] was created 1st Baroness Holland in Lincolnshire. Henry Fox 1st Baron Holland [aged 56] by marriage Baron Holland in Lincolnshire.

John Perceval 2nd Earl Egmont [aged 51] was created 1st Baron Lovel and Holland of Enmore in Somerset.

John Montagu 1st Baron Montagu [aged 27] was created 1st Baron Montagu of Boughton in Northamptonshire.

Joseph Damer 1st Earl Dorchester [aged 44] was created 1st Baron Milton of Milton Abbey in Dorset.

Edward Hussey-Montagu 1st Earl Beaulieu [aged 41] was created 1st Baron Beaulieu of Beaulieu in Hampshire with a special remainder to his heirs male with his current wife Isabella Montagu Duchess Manchester [aged 56].

On 12th May 1762 George Venables-Vernon 1st Baron Vernon [aged 53] was created 1st Baron Vernon of Kinderton in Cheshire. Martha Harcourt Baroness Vernon of Kinderton [aged 46] by marriage Baroness Vernon of Kinderton in Cheshire.

George Fox Lane 1st Baron Bingley [aged 65] was created 1st Baron Bingley. Harriet Benson Baroness Bingley [aged 57] by marriage Baroness Bingley.

On 13th October 1766 [his son] Bishop George Pelham was born to Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 38] and [his wife] Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 31]. He married 1792 Mary Rycroft, daughter of Richard Nelson aka Rycroft Baronet 1st Baronet.

On 31st August 1768 [his sister] Henrietta Pelham Baroness Bergavenny [aged 38] died.

On 17th November 1768 Thomas Pelham Holles 1st Duke Newcastle-under-Lyne [aged 75] died without issue. He was buried in the Pelham family vault at All Saint's Church, Laughton. Duke Newcastle upon Tyne, Marquess Clare, Earl Clare, Viscount Haughton and Baron Pelham of Laughton extinct.

Henry Fiennes Pelham-Clinton 2nd Duke Newcastle-under-Lyne [aged 48] succeeded 2nd Duke Newcastle under Lyme.

Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 40] succeeded 2nd Baron Pelham of Stanmer in Sussex and 6th Baronet Pelham of Laughton.

On 4th December 1778 [his son-in-law] George Brodrick 4th Viscount Midleton [aged 24] and Anne Pelham were married. She by marriage Viscountess Midleton of Midleton in Cork. She the daughter of Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 50] and Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 43]. They were third cousin once removed.

The History of William Marshal was commissioned by his son shortly after William’s death in 1219 to celebrate the Marshal’s remarkable life; it is an authentic, contemporary voice. The manuscript was discovered in 1861 by French historian Paul Meyer. Meyer published the manuscript in its original Anglo-French in 1891 in two books. This book is a line by line translation of the first of Meyer’s books; lines 1-10152. Book 1 of the History begins in 1139 and ends in 1194. It describes the events of the Anarchy, the role of William’s father John, John’s marriages, William’s childhood, his role as a hostage at the siege of Newbury, his injury and imprisonment in Poitou where he met Eleanor of Aquitaine and his life as a knight errant. It continues with the accusation against him of an improper relationship with Margaret, wife of Henry the Young King, his exile, and return, the death of Henry the Young King, the rebellion of Richard, the future King Richard I, war with France, the death of King Henry II, and the capture of King Richard, and the rebellion of John, the future King John. It ends with the release of King Richard and the death of John Marshal.

In 1792 Bishop George Pelham [aged 25] and Mary Rycroft were married. He the son of Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 63] and Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 57].

In 1801 Thomas Pelham 2nd Earl Chichester [aged 44] and Mary Henrietta Juliana Osborne Countess Chichester [aged 24] were married. The difference in their ages was 20 years. She the daughter of Francis Osborne 5th Duke Leeds and Amelia Darcy 12th Baroness Darcy 9th Baroness Conyers. He the son of Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 72] and Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 66].

On 8th January 1805 Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester [aged 76] died. His son Thomas [aged 48] succeeded 2nd Earl Chichester, 3rd Baron Pelham of Stanmer in Sussex and 7th Baronet Pelham of Laughton. Mary Henrietta Juliana Osborne Countess Chichester [aged 28] by marriage Countess Chichester.

On 5th March 1813 [his former wife] Anne Frankland Countess Chichester [aged 78] died.

[his daughter] Anne Pelham was born to Thomas Pelham 1st Earl Chichester and Anne Frankland Countess Chichester. She married 4th December 1778 her third cousin once removed George Brodrick 4th Viscount Midleton, son of George Brodrick 3rd Viscount Midleton and Albinia Townshend Viscountess Midleton.
