In 1176 Henry Bohun 1st Earl Hereford was born to Humphrey Bohun [aged 32] and Margaret Dunkeld Duchess Brittany [aged 31].

In July 1181 [his brother-in-law] Geoffrey Plantagenet 2nd Duke Brittany [aged 22] and [his half-sister] Constance Penthièvre Duchess Brittany [aged 20] were married. She by marriage Duchess Brittany. He by marriage Duke Brittany. She the daughter of Conan "The Young" Penthièvre IV Duke Brittany and [his mother] Margaret Dunkeld Duchess Brittany [aged 36]. He married his third cousin once removed Sibyl Ferrers, daughter of William Ferrers 5th Earl of Derby and Sibyl Marshal, and had issue.

On 1st June 1220 Henry Bohun 1st Earl Hereford [aged 44] died in the Middle East. His son Humphrey [aged 16] succeeded 2nd Earl Hereford.

On 27th August 1236 [his former wife] Maud Mandeville Countess Hereford [aged 59] died in Quendon, Essex.
