Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon was born to Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery and Susan Vere Countess Montgomery.
In 1605 [her father] Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery [aged 20] was created 1st Earl Montgomery. [her mother] Susan Vere Countess Montgomery [aged 17] by marriage Countess Montgomery.
On 27th December 1605 [her father] Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery [aged 21] and [her mother] Susan Vere Countess Montgomery [aged 18] were married at Whitehall. The bride was escorted into the church by the Queen's [aged 31] brother Prince Ulrik Oldenburg [aged 26] and her son Henry Frederick Stewart Prince of Wales [aged 11]. She the daughter of [her grandfather] Edward de Vere 17th Earl of Oxford and [her grandmother] Anne Cecil Countess of Oxford. He the son of Henry Herbert 2nd Earl Pembroke and Mary Sidney Countess Pembroke [aged 44].
On 8th November 1616 Robert Dormer 1st Baron Dormer [aged 65] died. His grandson [her future husband] Robert [aged 6] succeeded 2nd Baron Dormer of Wyng in Buckinghamshire, 2nd Baronet Dormer of Wyng in Buckinghamshire. Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon by marriage Baroness Dormer of Wyng in Buckinghamshire.
On 27th February 1625 Robert Dormer 1st Earl Carnarvon [aged 15] and Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon were married. She the daughter of Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery [aged 40] and Susan Vere Countess Montgomery [aged 37]. They were fifth cousins.
In 1628 [her husband] Robert Dormer 1st Earl Carnarvon [aged 18] was created 1st Earl Carnarvon. Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon by marriage Countess Carnarvon.
In 1628 [her mother] Susan Vere Countess Montgomery [aged 40] died.
In 1630 [her father] Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery [aged 45] and Anne Clifford Countess Dorset and Pembroke [aged 39] were married. She the daughter of George Clifford 3rd Earl of Cumberland and Margaret Russell Countess Cumberland. He the son of [her grandfather] Henry Herbert 2nd Earl Pembroke and [her grandmother] Mary Sidney Countess Pembroke. They were half third cousin twice removed.
On 10th April 1630 [her uncle] William Herbert 3rd Earl Pembroke [aged 50] died at Baynard's Castle [Map]. His brother [her father] Philip [aged 45] succeeded 4th Earl Pembroke. Anne Clifford Countess Dorset and Pembroke [aged 40] by marriage Countess Pembroke.
On 25th October 1632 [her son] Charles Dormer 2nd Earl Carnarvon was born to [her husband] Robert Dormer 1st Earl Carnarvon [aged 22] and Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon. He was baptised at St Benet's Church, Paul's Wharf [Map]. He married (1) before 25th June 1652 his fourth cousin Elizabeth Capell Countess Carnarvon, daughter of Arthur Capell 1st Baron Capell Hadham and Elizabeth Morrison Baroness Capell Hadham, and had issue (2) after 1678 his second cousin once removed Mary Bertie Countess Carnarvon, daughter of Montagu Bertie 2nd Earl Lindsey and Bridget Wray Countess Lindsey.
Before 1641 [her brother] Philip Herbert 5th Earl Pembroke 2nd Earl Montgomery [aged 19] and [her sister-in-law] Penelope Naunton [aged 20] were married. He the son of [her father] Philip Herbert 4th Earl Pembroke 1st Earl Montgomery [aged 56] and [her mother] Susan Vere Countess Montgomery.

On 3rd June 1643 Anne Sophia Herbert Countess Carnarvon died of smallpox.
On 20th September 1643 the First Battle of Newbury was fought at Newbury, Berkshire [Map] with King Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland [aged 42] commanding the Royalist army and Robert Devereux 3rd Earl Essex [aged 52] commanding the victorious Parliamentary army. For King Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland John Byron 1st Baron Byron [aged 44] fought with distinction.
Henry Bertie was killed.
[her former husband] Robert Dormer 1st Earl Carnarvon [aged 33] was killed. His son Charles [aged 10] succeeded 2nd Earl Carnarvon, 3rd Baron Dormer of Wyng in Buckinghamshire, 3rd Baronet Dormer of Wyng in Buckinghamshire.
William Villiers 2nd Viscount Grandison [aged 29] was killed. His brother John succeeded 3rd Viscount Grandison.
Edward Villiers [aged 23] fought.
Lucius Carey 2nd Viscount Falkland [aged 33] was killed. His son Lucius [aged 11] succeeded 3rd Viscount Falkland.
Richard Neville [aged 28] served under the Earl Carnarvon. Carnarvon was killed and Neville took up the command as a Colonel of Horse.
Major General Charles Fleetwood [aged 25] was wounded.
